Have already previously referenced it.

Trade Union Labour Relations Consolidation Act 1992
What is being asked of us that you think is an offence?

Taking strike action today is legal remember…..

You’ve acknowledged that remember….
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

We have now gone full circle and repeating previous posts.

As always respect your opinion but seem pointless going forward with this debate.

Gave a good day.

Ok

How about you encourage an employee not to attend work as an official of an organisation when there is no legal justification, (Statutory Immunity) and the employer suffers a financial loss due to that employees absence,

Has the employer got the right to seek financial redress through the courts from the trade union through the actions of its representative in giving that advice nationally on social media?

Not to mention the employee as well for breach of contract?

Dont worry id like to see them sack over 100000 posties ,i can assure you they won't find 100000 agencies workers to stick at this job to long ,that's even if they can find that many workers in the UK at the moment.
They won’t sack people but it gives them the perfect opportunity to tear up our current contracts and offer us new ones or the door i.e. the CEO’s goal from the start. It is a massive own goal.
They were always going to do that anyway ,when you sign the new one it doesn't stop us striking ,we carry on if we are going down lets take them with us or lets make it as hard for them to make any money .
Thing is I have a contract I will not be Signing a new one they can make me redundant or IHR simple as
im sorry to burst your bubble but by law if they give you 90 days notice they can change your contract and you sign or leave no redundancy.

Totally true

Accept the new contract or you are making yourself redundant as they are offering you your job back.
Exactly what happened with TESCO and British Gas.

As long as the employer has gone through the consultation period, totally legal

This is old news that's been mentioned before. My wife works for Asda contract 6 was the new contract. We all know about these things. My personal feelings are the change if it includes everything they are proposing to a new contract I would not sign.As far as Asda went they had consultation and 2 months to sign.

I was given 90 days notice by Tesco 14 years ago. We were TUPE’d to another firm. Luckily the union negotiated us our redundancy payment so 90% of our department took the payment. About 220 people. For me this feels the same kind of thing. But this time I don’t really care as I’ve got an alternative plan. I’m still striking and good luck to all and merry Christmas.

I have just read 14 pages of cowardice and selfishness! I am a financially struggling single parent and I will be on strike on the 24th along with everyone else who cares about their job, their future and the futures of their co-workers and friends! To everyone on here that is trying to convince yourself and others that it is in anyway acceptable to go and work for Simon on the 24th, Please stop using this 12 week thing as an excuse for going into work, just admit that you are scared and week minded and are looking for any excuse to take the easy way out and look after yourself regardless of the impact on your colleagues! :no no
:Applause Well said. :thumbup
IF you want to Strike Break go ahead but stop trying to look for excuses, instead trying looking for some principals. Merry Christmas.

Encouraging a third party to commit an illegal act , as in breaking the law on an online platform is an illegal act punishable by criminal sanctions.

So you're acting as an agent for ST, and working hard to cast doubt into the minds of already worried colleagues. :no no

Were you suggessting that we should have all said, "Look Redlen says Saturdays Strike date isn't legal ...... perhaps we should all turn our back on the previous 15 days of Strikes and go into work"?

You'd certainly be getting maxumum brownie points from ST if you'd convinced everyone to go in. Now take a day off ....stop shite stirring and let genuine hard working posties enjoy their Christmas Break. :cuppa

So, following the drama in this thread, I'm asking the people on the pickert lines, have you noticed and increased number of striker breakers this morning ?

Most people, although we really do want a deal, didn't want one this week as we all wanted the extended break. Happy days.

You can use as many different legal terms as you like

The fact remains the strike is legal for as long as it’s within 6 months of ballot result and 14 days notice is given
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next
