Total pants again. Nearly 2 packets bags again. Pouched off about 8 items. So much for falling mail volumes.

What is pouching off?, See this on the P739 CARDS and have never asked what it means, is it items you return to office?

Not quite. Pouching off at my place is passing all the undeliverables and form lefts back into the system, either with or without a pouching off bag. I usually leave mine at the local PO.

so if you have undeliverable mail can you pop it in a post box to save going back to office?

We can as have a local agreement covering it and the fact that some of our walks are 8 miles from the office. You may not have so I would check with your rep before pouching off

Another heavy day, think they threw all the crap at us this morning, only just managed to finish on time. I'm now off until Tuesday, my 1st rota long w/end in nearly a year I was asked if I would like to work my days off, my answer 'You've got more chance of winning the lottery than me working my day off'

Congrats for getting that long weekend at last i just dont understand how its taken so long,management and the cwu rep at your place should be working together to make sure you all get a fair share off the long weekends,its not hard to sort out.

In 7 years I've never had a long weekend I've had the occasional Monday and the much rarer Saturday but never both.

Total JOKE of a morning. Was looking like a fairly decent delivery, mail and packets not to bad and only 8 signers. Until I got to a block of flats about 5 minutes into my walk with a lift, a lift that then proceeded to break down with me still inside it!

Spent an hour waiting for the fire brigade to get me out of it again! Can't wait until the boys at work find out about it.

I'm sure those in work will understand..................they'll just give you a lift, of course there is all those tracks they can play, Stuck in the Middle, Push The Button and all that elevator musak

Due to my skill set (my annoyance of the DOM) and the fact that I'm a reserve, I've been told that I'll never get one (or a duty for that matter) because of operational needs but the other reserves have got them I've already put in a greivence but have been told that it's up to the DOM and the 'operational needs'.

Saturday wasn't as busy, at least not for packets. Not sure, but wondered if the flow of mail during the week had anything to do with the impending strike action in London? Saturday was warm and sunny, slightly on the humid side. 3 hrs 10 minutes in total.

It was heavy, not particular quantity of mail but Heavy as in catalogues, bulk flatas etc

Sky magazines still haven't turned up, so I expect to get them all on Monday .

Not to bad today, got rid of all my sky mags, finished 20 mins early and caught some rays
