Supposed to be a "short day " for us, but went over by an hour......

Prepped rural round and section of town round that is on same frame.

Bagged up section of town round, and delivered to pouch box for 20hr chap.

Delivered rural round.

Delivered section of town round ( different round to one i had bagged up )

That is our normal day scenario now.... if anyone is sick, then first day of sick we have to deliver another section of a town round, plus presumably for summer savings, deliver yet another section of a town round... :cry

Yes we were hammered as well - and just to top it off we got loads of RAW letters and flats - the MC must have panicked and sent them over to us - troub;e is during Easter week we have less sorters and DOM/Area Manager has imposed a limited OT pot.

Really heavy today  and very little walksorted which means that (because so many have been taken off IPS) it takes a lot longer to finish, plus a couple of people phoned in sick which meant that people had to be moved off one duty onto another and another etc. still, it's the kind of joined up management that we now have

Am on A/L this week so popped into my DO today to see what duty I'm on next week, did'nt want to go in Tuesday and find out it was my day off (again!) Was surprised to see people still tying up at 12.00  Had a quick peek at the cut off board in the office and I think they are gonna need a bigger board when the lapsing starts soon :hmmmm
