We need to get this site out to more of our people, I have downloaded the fliers and will be putting them about. The more people in other offices we can get involved the better. Burslem have been fighting on their own for too long, other offices need to wake up and realise that sitting on the side lines cheering you on wont end the problem.

My own office also has its fair share of bullying managers complete with room temperature IQ's. This past 12 months we have lost quite a few good people to suicides and untimely deaths, yet managers still continue to dish out stage 1's and 2's, just because they have been told to, without consideration for mitigating circumstances like Leukemia  and stomach cancers
They are like the Nazis at Nuremburg with excuses like " I am only obeying orders". Caring Royal Mail? - My Arse  Most managers in our office tell you that they have been instructed to issue stage warnings.

I hope my office has the guts to stand up for whats right, Burslem is a shining example of what the CWU should stand for. I envy anyone that works there and the support you get from your colleagues. :Very Happy

The Burslem D.O. is a credit and is a light for all to admire... (the workers) And the comments you made on Nazi excuses might seem to some squimish people a bit strong but the way they. RM issue Stg's Now is not much short of the attitudes.. And contempt they show us.. They ruin lives, They are trying the same with me... There must be hundreds of posties in the same boat as you mentioned Fluke.... Im disturbed buy the untimelt deaths and Suicides of RM workers that endure H+B in the workplace. Ohhh we had the Diversity course and video.... OK lets carry on and stamp it out!!! From top to bottom... Sounds and is the right way to go!!!! BUT!!!!! ROYAL MAIL never thought that so many people, (as in my M.C. put in HR1 forms against Managers and rightly so... and Now in many cases (as the way forward states we carry out hearings) Have a Independant person over seeing the meeting!!! OK.. Who did they (HR) Try and get to take my Appeal against a MANAGER??? Well Just some one on a differnt function!! A neighbouring office!!! Or dept.... I asked for a new person but buy then RM pick and choose who they want.. SO bang goes the FAIR HEARING WE SUPPOSED TO RECIEVE!!!! NO need to tell the outcome. But mlets just say im a naughty boy now!!!! From Me putting in a H+B case against outright, and long term grief. To A appeals Mng coming to a conclusion i need Formal counciling down the code of conduct!!!! I respect people dont know the facts. But the way RM over look all the Plain to se facts are a joke.. I now face the sack!!!! And will be seeking advice.....

OUT...

DONT LET THE BASTARDS GRIND US DOWN!!!! BIG DAVE , BURSLEM, FLUKE, and all in grief from these neo NA*I f***s!!!!

burslem dispute

Post by samsung »

i feel that we in the st area are now sitting up and taking note of what is happening in the bigger picture a revolution needs to start somewhere hey why not in our own back yard of Burslem we should be all taking part in the action of doing our job the right way and making RM take on the responsibitly for it. i have heard that our local union is going to be asking our all members to get on the vans for one week starting on the 23rd of April this will sort of put some pressure on Gio while we are waiting for Big Daves decision. This will be done collectively through the area hopefully and might even show those people who rush round the error of there ways and it may entice some to stop using there cars for good.

Welcome Samsung you talk a lot of since. I didn't go on picket line today  but I've just been out and about( 15.45) and seen two managers still out on a van delivery. It normally takes one postman 'till about 12.40 to complete our two friends still had a bit to do.

Hi Samsung nice words. There seems to be a lot of support out there for us so hopefully those ripples will soon be a tidal wave. The union reps local ,area ,divisional and national are getting very active and behind everything aswel (well done lads) perhaps now is the time for a national dispute about everything else that is going on around the country, particularly the bullying aspects. :so there :so there :so there

Nice Pics. :Very Happy

Is Dave's appeal tomorrow? If so I hope everything goes well. :pray :pray :pray :pray :pray :pray

I cant believe we have still not heard anything back about our ballot for industrial action. Its been nearly a month now since a vote by branch was taken to seek a ballot for I.A. I am not over impressed with National Headquarters and the fact that you Burslem folks have been left to fight on your own. :Confused Don't get me wrong I am not looking forward to loosing money through I.A, but when one of our members is wrongfully sacked and everyone knows it was a setup. I think its only right that the the WHOLE of the Union should get behind them.

I got a letter from Doug this weekend, saying how they followed nationally agreed procedures when they sacked Dave and that everything was done fairly.   That must be the same level of fairness they apply to the sick absence procedures.......... You know the one, where they issue warnings regardless. :mad :mad :mad :mad

Nationally Agreed procedures?????

Post by L Tommo »

I for one DONT believe RM can follow any National Agreement when they dont look at the facts Because RM & CWU have agreed on a system of inquiry that just dont work. THE WAY FORWARD brought this in as it stands now and I for one never agreed to it.. How can anyone be given a fair hearing in stages of sickness with no appeal 1 and 2... And then in Big Daves case Under the Code of conduct. Seem to not take notice of witness statements that can only point to Big Daves innocents!!!! FAIR MY ARSE!!!!! RM are forcing the CWU into a long drawn out fight and feel they can push US around... Force Big Dave as far as they can... BASTARDS!!!! They play with lives and livelyhoods here!!!

So this DOUG says that RM have gone buy the book?? All i will say i hope the CWU have given Big Dave the best chance and evey opportunity to put his case forward with ALL the information available? Every Code of Conduct case We are privi to ALL of the investigations interview minutes and notes... Hope Big Dave has all these? If not ask The Data protection people under the Same act to have by law all the information and anything he wishes,(ie)code of conduct of his record, attendance record, Anything about his working life with RM.. I would say go to the HR people but if you trust em is a big point??? By Law they have to give you everything you want on yourself in work That RM have on you...

All i hope n wish for is sense to prevail and Dave is back to work as soon as!!!!!!! But if the BASTARDS dont reinstate him then i will do my up most to tell of the facts i know.. With in the Law......

As in my case, A trip down to the Citizens advise bureau and get a legal view point on it....Is a act that i would say is most important... Give The CWU HQ a time to mull the case over and hope they take it on???? I HOPE AND PRAY THEY DO :pray :pray :pray :pray :pray :pray :pray :pray :pray :pray

The legal firm the CWU use is Simpson and miller and if any one wants the number i will send a private Msg.. They will ask if the CWU have taken the case up and then if so can start backing Big Dave legally... As they should do.. But we dont want it to get to that stage !!! DO WE RM????? GET HIM BACK TO WORK AND ALL THIS OVER WITH!!!! u dont want long term strikes do u Big al n lil adam DOOOOOO YA????

LETS ALL GET BEHIND BIG DAVE AND SHOW rm THEY CANT BULLY AND LIE AND RUIN A GOOD MANS LIFE IN HIS WORKPLACE.......................................

OUT

DONT LET THE BASTARDS GRIND YA DOWN + GOOD LUCK BIG DAVE FROM E.LONDON. AND FROM THE TOMMO HOUSEHOLD....... :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause
