Aye Much worse off. Its unbelievable to me how we are expected to think £12.42 per week is fair income for delivering a possible 4,000 items.DirtyHarry wrote:I'm one of 'em, Daz.Big Daz wrote:

It seems perfectly reasonable to me, to expect that those who did most to ensure a profitable outcome, get rewarded for having done so, via a rise in basic pay. Adam Crozier, the least productive employee gets a £2million bonus in a couple of weeks, and that on top of the millions he's already snaffled up, c'mon, fair's fair, mate. Or, it should be.
D2D, well, let's be totally honest, a product detested by 99.9% of the population of Great Britain, a product we've never been decently rewarded for doing, and with this latest fiasco of an agreement, will end up worse off for doing more of the shyte!

I agree, and it's noticeable too, that it's the least productive elements of our nation's postal service, management and union officials, who always come out with crap like this "2010 and beyond" shyte.Ranger wrote: Aye Much worse off. Re: POLL:How are you going to vote?
It's obvious this deal is horrendous. If this deal is to protect jobs then if we vote no and they make delivery staff redundant, then how can royal mail still deliver to every address in Britain?

Re: POLL:How are you going to vote?
Got my ballot paper today, and I have voted NO to further deterioration of our jobs.
Want longer, later,Saturdays? Like feck, I do.
Want loads more D2Ds, day specific ones too, which means not only will Saturdays be hell, but days like Christmas eve, New years eve, what with "sales" and the like? Like feck, I do.
And as an added bonus, want to be paid less for doing D2D shyte? Like feck, I do.

Re: POLL:How are you going to vote?
To prep D2D and deliver them just like a full timer doesn't seem fair to get paid less, unless they make the partimers walks shorter or increase PT hours and have all mail prepped in the frame which doesn't happen just now so why would that happen in the future?

Re: POLL:How are you going to vote?
But under the 2010 offer you wont.Speedydelivery wrote:To prep D2D and deliver them just like a full timer doesn't seem fair to get paid less
FT payment for doing D2Ds extra to contracted wage = £0
PT Payment for doing D2Ds extra to contracted wage = £0
The new system with all D2Ds prep and delivery in the working stream in ALL aspects treats D2D as normal mail, not separate. Do FT at the moment deliver and prep more mail on their duties then a PT doing the same duty - No.
=========================================================================================================================
Do I agree with the offer - No because the creation of the delivery Supplement does not offset the weekly loss of D2D payments for those that delivered them on time and to spec. If it had done then I would be for it. (this part of the offer I mean)
In my opinion - doing away with D2D payments will in the long run be a good thing if the loss was offset and the replacement was linked to future pay increases. This would mean over time we would get paid more for doing them, rather than as at present (before 2010 offer) no increase at all. It would also stop the issue of posties not having time to prep them, prepping them at home and Managers saying they must be prepped in your own time, or floaters and reserves being excused.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I have posted this before but because of the poor wording (for reasons of negotiation apparently) people are confusing the issue of Delivery Supplement and D2D payments in thinking that the DS payment has replaced D2D payments.
It has not - we wont get paid for D2Ds any more - The Delivery Supplement is a brand new payment. The budget that used to pay for D2Ds (£50M PA) and ESA (£40m PA) will now pay for the Delivery Supplement

Re: POLL:How are you going to vote?
I have posted off my vote and now wait for democracy to kick in and return a NO vote
Unfortunately I have a feeling that somehow the vote will be miscounted and surprisingly the YES vote will win.
I think that by the end of May I will be leaving the CWU. I realise that the CWU are there to help in other ways but if they cannot get the major points right when sitting down to sup with RM then it is unlikely that they will be of any use to me in any other areas. More likely to go up for a stage 1 for absence and take the CWU in with me and end up getting dismissed.

The time has come to stop turning the other cheek, time to stop shaking our heads in bitter dismay, time to stop mumbling our angry words.
The time has come for union.
The time has come for union.

Re: POLL:How are you going to vote?
The loss of money from the d2ds is bad enough but worse is the "Grandfather" rights we had on the early shift allowance which was pensionable and now has disappeared from our pension and put into a non pensionable allowance.Another erosion of our ever dwindling pension.The 2007 pay agreement said that this allowance would be protected.Why is it not?

Thats not quite correct,
The shift allowance part of the delivery supplement is pensionable, thats in the aggreement.
Individuals in receipt of pensionable allowances incorporated into this payment will retain full pensionability of those elements on a reserved rights basis.
Therefore due to the increase in basic pay, your pensionable pay goes up!
