I can only LOL at their demands.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Apart from D2D and SDs (which always have to be attempted), EVERYTHING is 1st class once it reaches a DO. The difference between 1C and 2C is built in to when it's processed in a MCsindba wrote:DSA aint first or second classSpacePhoenix wrote:Apart from D2D that's just about everything. No mention of SDs or TrackedRoyal Mail Group and the CWU should lobby Government and the Regulator to adjust standards and obligations to deliver 1st & 2nd Class USO mail and parcels only with relaxed ‘next day’ criteria to enable the measures below.

Do you honestly think they will call for a strike in the middle of a crisis none of us have ever known.Ren Hoëk wrote:Less ye forget we have a mandate to call strike action. To be honest I think some of them are in there just to make sure it's a no.POSTMAN wrote:I can only LOL at their demands.
If they're looking for everything or nothing they've massively overreached.
If it's a genuine bargaining position and they're willing to give up some for others they probably should have gone for a more friendly tone.
That isn't going to fly from the business or the government. That's just political bollocks.Publicity should then be given to the fact that they RMG are now an arm of Government

Our financial position
The Group's current liquidity position is strong, with good levels of cash and limited financial debt. Currently the Group has in excess of £800 million in cash plus a £925 million Revolving Credit Facility.

A refusal to work until lethally unsafe conditions for the sake of non-essential stuff is fixed? Why not.
At the moment we are more like Sports Direct than the NHS in this crisis.

They've already ruled that out, their reason/excuse is that the situation is varied across the business.A refusal to work until lethally unsafe conditions for the sake of non-essential stuff is fixed? Why not.

No way, it’s with full pay the union wouldn’t agree such a dealsindba wrote:Personally I think this is something we might have to give way on.daveyeff wrote:if we go to 3 days a week, it doesn't say if we will get full pay. though i doubt it very much if we did.
RM can't afford to pay part-time work at full time rates for any length of time, we need to accept that.
Heath and safe working conditions should be non-negotiable though.
