Where’s my EVR !!!

cobrakai wrote:Now that redundancy is worked out as the same for everybody in the company no matter how long you have worked here. It might be that seniority doesn’t count for anything if it comes to job losses. Last in first out usually applies in most other jobs. I think people that have waited for vr for the last 5/10 years could be in for a nasty shock.
Royal Mail have never made anyone redundant who didn't want to go. If RM want any cooperation from the union it will have to be by consent.

64 years old just had 3 months off with my back and hip after 20 years of pounding the streets all I get is "when do you think you can be back on your walk" this is off a 37 year old manager who has never done a delivery in his life, its no wonder people are p*ssed off with the job, and they keep saying the volumes are down, what a crock of sh*t, come on management show us older workers some respect we are not 21 any more !!!!#

God I hope your right my friend,am 58 and done 37 years,my boss says it’s not the job for me anymore, how right he is,I’m not quick enough, and tend to do the job properly, which takes too long,am sick of his lack of leadership and inconsistency in dealing with issues around lapsing loaning and not paying out when we go over our time

Sorry mate but your boss sounds a complete c*** and I would be taking out a grievance first thing tomorrow morning for making me feel undervalued, bullying and pressurised. Maybe six months on full sick pay due to him/her making you depressed due to the hurtful remarks might screw up their budget. C,Mon 37 years and they talk to people like bits of s**t. Complete bastards. :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown :no no :no no :no no :no no :no no :no no :no no :no no :no no

All being a manager is about is avoiding work come on people whenever someone says manager it is a degrading term for the feckless. Not saying their are some good managers but over all the higher up you go the worse they are!
