If the Inward Sort, will they be delivered to the MC pre-sorted for delivery (like some Amazon packets are) or actually delivered from the hubs? I can’t see the hubs being able to sort and deliver to remote DOs in time for deliveries.

From what I've read in other posts. The hubs will take in the tracked and process in a similar way to the LAT items.
So yes they will do the outward and inward process and will arrive back at local MC's in Yorks for the LAT hub offices.
Is it possible that they might by-pass the Inward MCs and if the LAT hub can handle a 17tonner or larger, send the work direct to the LAT hub?

This is Royal Mail, anything is possible even when it's obvious the Plan won't work.

The main issue with using 17 tonners is the distances involved, with only 3 hubs in England getting Mail from say a site near HCN to Truro could be problematic.

It would be easier using the existing Network to get the Mail closer before transferring to a smaller vehicle.

Yes we got one at Greenford MC it takes 11 people to run it there will be teething problems when your office first gets one. It loves easy to read printed address packets it cannot sort the Chinese mail and has a problem with Tracked Mail because they normally contain a return address on the front.

Shouldn't the PSM read the barcodes on Tracked items as this contains the destination address/postcode? Not quite sure why the return address would be read. Seems like a design fault if it is ignoring the barcodes on Tracked parcels.
