this is where clocking out needs to come in as this takes all the control out of the dims hands to who he wants to pay and how much he wants to pay to balance there weekly budget , you work 2 hours over then you get paid 2 hours its that simple , no signing or filling in docket sheets :thumbup

the company is too big for clocking in and out can you imagine Sheffield doing it all? Sometimes I come in and it says the cover postie's name is on my duty when they're clearly not

Would someone be able to clock off two hours late and get paid for it? Some paperwork will still be needed

what do you think these other big companys do ? they dont fill out a scrap piece of paper for your start and finish times , what difference does that make you clock in to the building , sign against your duty and jobs done , clock out when done . :thumbup

Working for RM certainly for OPGs is different to most other jobs in that you have a variable amount of work and it has to be completed that day. In a lot of other jobs you just work your hours then go home.
I don't generally book any extended although I usually end up going over time most days of the week. There isn't really any time left to prep and throw up D2D so that tends to get done in my own time except occasionally our DOM might throw some of them up. It's not easy to book extended and I don't need the grief from trying to justify myself and end up feeling like I'm grovelling. If we get any more SWW inflicted on us by the union that will just be more work done unpaid. Not really looking forward to RMs announcement due at the end of May either.

You seriously think it would be that simple? So they bring in ahdc and the next week 50000 postie's all think I can drag this out as long as I want and be paid for it? You don't think they'd still question/refuse to pay excess claims of 2 hours if their workload figure/resource scheduler said it should have been done within normal hours?

Are you being serious? You work for nothing. Its not grovelling to get paid for the hours you work. The very least you deserve from the reduction in your working week is to get paid for the extra hours you work if they do not adjust your duty. I book extend delivery quite alot. i would not dream of not claiming it. If i wasnt paid i would bring it back and let someone else deliver it - i, and indeed you are not a charity mate!

You're surely not that naive? The days of just being paid overtime without question are gone regardless of how you sign in and sign out.

You're mad. I do complete most the time but we get paid, whatever is left would come back at my time if they refused to pay us!

it doesn't matter what work there is or what work they give you , you have still got a finish time :wave and take it back unless you want the o/t then its there problem .
