Navalron wrote:That's total bull and your rep needs his balls booted because what about the posties who don't drive. Also like I've said you would be entitled to £150 at the very minimum. So they ARE paying you for an hour , so that's 10 hours per week which comes to about £112 for wages for each driver never mind the cost of diesel and don't forget that one day in the future they WILL bring the band to the office and they will still be liable for the payments to yous. Have a vote to replace your rep. Honestly some of the things that I read on here, I wouldn't have ever though would happen in RM as the union didn't take any shot from any office or management.
Crazy the amount of money wasted on this but i'd love it. Either 5 hours wasted driving (30 minutes each way each day) or even better 10 hours (an hour each way each day).

AFAIK the travel allowance only applies if you live more than a certain number of miles from the new office

In the only experience of merged offices I have, the two offices remained separate but under one roof.
We had a small office move into my office they had a 6 month bedding in period then we were all classed as one office
We merged with another office about 14 years ago.
Still two offices, two reps, two repicks.
We even have different local public holidays.
