Keeping letters in the business. That's what she says I think. Funny but we had a wtl (I know, it was a one off though), with our new area boss last year. She said letters are declining due to online bank statements and the like. I asked her if she opted for paperless statements with her bank ,she said of course, it's far more convenient! I questioned why she would be contributing to the decline in mail she had just spouted off about. She had no answer.
Unions need to get tough and stop the unfair treatment of staff. How is it good for moral if one postie on an easy round gets ghost overtime and another gets back late every day and nothing is done about it? Bullying weaker posties to take lapsing isn't going to set them out the door with a spring in their step is it? Lapsing because you're short staffed, not because the traffic is light has to stop. How efficient is it, really, to have 2 posties driving maybe 10 minutes out of their way to deliver 5 mins of mail. The whole show is run by clueless jokers on stupid wages, who have never done the job but worse, they won't listen to the people who DO.
