Although I don't agree with the result this is a Democratic society and I except the result but what I won't do is support a union whose policy I don't agree with so will be withdrawing my sub's we all have a choice if people would have just spent a few minutes to read the leaflets they would see what a bad deal this was

Reps bound by "collective responsibility" - the CWU top brass telling us its the best thing since sliced bread - RMG are all for it - a nice little payout etc etc

What a great shame. This generation's pension provision has just been f****d. And thats a big deal.

Who do I blame, aside from the aforementioned ? The 45% that didn't vote.

happy with the result who the 45% dont make me laugh how can you be happy with a few £ and a lot of ifs buts and maybes oh and a shafted pension to boot oh its been a good day all round

I don't get we had a ballot for IA on the four pillars & the union got a 90% yes vote.
The union got an agreement on the four pillars without having to take strike action & 90% voted for that.
Yet the 90% who voted to accept the agreement are idiots.
Can someone please explain.

Delivery staff outnumber MC and RDC staff (by approx 2:1 afaik), with a 90% vote in favour, a good few of them must have been in delivery

I work in a mail centre and I voted no.So its laughable when we get the odd comment from a delivery man suggesting the yes vote was down to non delivery staff.Having done deliveries, I'm the first to admit that its much easier in the mail centre,but surely the majority of yes votes would have come from delivery staff as they far out number the staff working in a mail centre.

The problem with this deal is the same problem in society in general.Most older posties will be home owners with a pension that is now built up and protected and can take a small hit on the final years.The younger ones will be renting as they cannot get a mortgage on their small hour contracts or living at home and now have no future for a decent pension and will not realise how crap this is for another forty years.My worry is if they do not join the pension and no one is paying in,is there the money to pay out?

Some people just moan

The 90% strike vote was based on a far higher turnout. But 90% of 55% is less than half of the workforce and doesn't include members of other unions or non-union members.
