Had ours recently, told by Dim to fill it in now and hand it back. I said no. I said give me one good reason how filling it in will help my working life? Not seen him since.

No WTLL session on Tuesday (what a surprise) so they got handed out on Wednesday. More than a few people refusing to take the survey. After all, a wildcat strike in December got management to tackle a number of outstanding issues faster than filling in these surveys ever did.

The question was put to justsayit re bonus for managers. The reply did not actually answer the question which may indicate they do. The initial enthusiasm last year to encourage our shift to fill out the survey was not maintained as (quote RM) "The most important part of the process , The action plan", was not implemented. No surprise that several did not bother this year, Much to the managers dismay.

Interesting update though, for those who lack the spine to say "not doing it" when asked to hand the manager their completed survey, and say "oh I lost mine" they are provided with a spare replacement form, with a spare replacement envelope. :hmmmm
Now can anyone spot a flaw in the system ,regarding confidentiality or fraud.
Rip ,new envelope

There were a lot more 'odd' questions in the survey this year such as whether we are transsexuals etc which even our DOM stated they would not give an answer to. I suppose this information is to improve or increase RMs diversity scores for the business which is a big thing nowadays. I think the envelopes are marked up with numbers but given the way it is completed I would think the process is confidential and there is little to worry about unless you are paranoid. It is a chance to highlight problems locally and if your DOM and union rep are worth their salt then it is worth everyone filling in the survey honestly. If you have a DOM who is incompetent or lazy then arguably it is even more important that every postie in the DO fills at least that part in. The results will get back to higher up regarding your office and their **** may be kicked. Its worth a try anyway if your office is being run badly .

The surveys in our unit were handed out randomly by an OPG so the numbers aren't for identification - they'll be for authentication in the same way election ballots are numbered to prevent ballot stuffing.
