I will stand up as i was the one who asked the DOM about this !

They stated that through out the summer we mostly make time and finish early. if we were to book over time then that good will would be lost and we would have to work to our time every day and to facilitate this they would send people to other offices who are short staffed and lapse their duty.

Now that sounds like BS from your DOM Wallin. I think your best bet is to call his bluff. I've NEVER known a DOM who actually carried out his threats, because most of the time they're empty. ;liar

If there's no mail left in the office when you return from your duty what's he going to do, make you sweep the yard? Do you consider your office is that short of work, or is just the "Chosen Few" who are finishing early all summer? And your DOM is trying to tell you that it's Royal Mail that's dishing out the Good Will and "letting" you go home early in the summer. He sounds like a First Class Knob to me. :cuppa
