wait can individuals go onto other systems in a office where there a 9 day fornite? or a 5day week? is it not entire office based or individual preference?
It's not up to you, it's not your preference. You can object if the Union tries to get you on the Walmington System. If you want in on Walmington, speak to the Union rep.

Gummage wrote:Get yourself onto the Walmington System by having a serious word with the Union Rep. Seriously, this is what you REALLY REALLY want. Walmington: work six days a week, for five weeks out of six, have the sixth week off plus the Saturday before.

Tuesday is the lightest day for mail, Monday is the next lightest day. Saturdays are hard for the RM to get fully manned.

On a rotating day off, you are likely to have every Tuesday off and work every Saturday.

Unless you get onto the Walmington System: the Union must file a formal grievance to get you on the Walmington system, don't ask the Manager for it because the Manager will not want you on it.
I've heard of the Wallington where you work 6 days for 5 weeks then get a week off (in effect you've worked your day off for 5 weeks then saved them up) but apart from dad's army never heard of walmington, how does it work that you get the preceding Saturday off ?

You call it Wallington, I call it Walmington, lets call the whole thing off.

You say Wallington and I say Walmington,
You say Wallington and I say Walmington
Wallington, Walmington Wallington, Walmington
Let's call the whole thing off.
