What is more important than a credible opposition is a credible government. Not one that cannot even remember what it's manifesto was, opting for an EU referendum to buy votes for the 2015 election, and the management of the NHS, Social Welfare, Schools, Transport is there to see. If 70% voted for the Tories then there must be a lot of postmen putting mail through the wrong doors through their apparent blindness.

Corbyn has a great memory just ask him about his Childcare policies and how much they will cost. Or perhaps you could ask Diane Abbott how much their increased policing will cost! :whistle :speak to the hand :cuppa

Likewise.

I avoid postal votes unless absolutely necessary as things could change right up to polling day and I prefer to vote in person.

Am I living in an alternate dimension here? The Tories have been shovelling us s**t since 2010 and you idiots want more?

"The national debt was dreadful under Labour it rose way too much"

Yet people forget how the national debt rose from approximately £950 billion to £1.5 trillion over the last 7 years under the Tories.

At least there is the possibility of a chance with Labour.

Labour plans:

Build a million homes costing money
Remove cap on nurses wages costing money
More funds for the NHS costing money
Scrap student fees costing money
Renationalise Utilities/Royal Mail costing money
More Police officers costing money

If Labour got in and managed to implement their wish list to please all, they would bankrupt the country... you seriously think Britains finances are better in the hands of Corbyn and his cronies and you call us idiots! :left:

- Build more houses costing money. Of course that costs money. But implying they won't make money off of those houses is absurd. Every single one of use will know numerous amounts of young people and people even into their thirties that can't afford to buy or even save for a mortgage. This will help with that. Corbyn even wants to improve the quality of rented accommodation too.

- Remove cap on nurses wages and More funds for the NHS costing money . I can't believe you would see the NHS crumble for the sake of the Rich members of societies pockets, shame on you. The NHS will not survive anymore abuse from the Tories and I for one would like to keep the service. We all use the NHS and all know somebody who relies on it to live their lives to their fullest. I have a illness that I would not be able to afford without the NHS, I know lots more who couldn't either. It's not my fault I rely on the NHS and I shouldn't be punished for it. Should I?

- Scrap student fees. This is investment. A workforce full of educated and employable people will make us a very powerful and competent economy. Why should people be told they can't achieve their potential because they were born into poverty? We can't all be lucky like you.

- Re nationalise Utilities / Royal Mail. How do you think they were sold in the first place? They make a LOAD of money, Royal Mails profits are up this year, same for the other utilities. Being on this site I imagine you work for Royal Mail? You should have re nationalisation at the top of your list. We've all seen what's becoming of the business and it needs to stop.

- Police officers costing money. If the last two weeks have shown us anything it's that we need more officers. It's all nice and lovely the Tories saying crime is down, but is it? How are they sure it isn't the fact that the police no longer have the
time or manpower to get out there and DETECT the crime. I priorities the safety of our people over money, something that could be obsolete at the flick of a switch.

Like I said before national debt of 2010 which was £850 billion, lower than I had remembered. Again, that rose to £1.5 TRILLION under the Tories. I'm not saying it would be better under Corbyn, but our lives sure would be. I for one, want a better future for everyone, not just the privileged. You should all want the same.

Why ask him when all the costs are written in the manifesto, whereas not one costing at all in the Tory Manifesto.

Exactly. All the people who criticise ANY MP over remembering something should be ashamed. MPs have to remember hundreds of stats and figures surely they can be forgiven from time to time? How many times have you guys missed a packet because you forgot it was in your bag? We're all human.

How do you ever recognise a person who sees the need for discussion to sort out long term problems as a supporter of that group. Had it not been for the foresight of a labour government through Mo Molam to have discussions with all of the parties in Ireland there would never have been a Good Friday Agreement. Through 18 years of Thatchers reign and subsequently another five of John Major there was very little done to bring the IRA, Rev Paisley and all of the Unionist Terrorists to the negotiating table. Many Irish Citizens and our soldiers were murdered during this period. Talking is always better than waring. The same applies to the Arab/Israeli situation. Without talking, terrorism and wars will continue and the innocent will always be the victims.
My fears are that May in her negotiations with Europe will throw the baby out of the bathwater if she does not get her own way. She has already made the negotiations into a personal war with Europe before any negotiations take place. Not a great place to reach an amicable agreement.

As said yesterday, the great rewriting of Corbyn's involvement with the IRA continues apace.
At the time the Labour Party and the Left Wing Guardian etc stated that Corbyn was "there" for the benefit of Corbyn.
"Peace" was neither his aim or intention, and you're being suckered.

Kick the Bucket you poor deluded fool. Yes should all those houses be built they would be worth money but short term a massive cost increasing the deficit.

Removing the cap on nurses why do this? why increase this cost when the cap is inline with everybody else's rises (at least those lucky enough to get a rise). Yes they do a good job but an increased cap not required. More money for the NHS great if they hadn't promised money to every body else. It should be one of the few things they spend on not one of the many.

Scraping student fees that they brought in in the first place oh what heroes they are saving us from something they brought in. Fees are actually fair. They don't need to be paid back until students earn above a certain level. Why should the average working man in the street, the bin men, the postman, pay for someone else's children's higher education? Especially as the chances are they will to go on to earn far more than the people that ended up paying for it. Would students jump at the chance to pay for my holidays? Fees are fair and a rare good Labour policy which is why they are scrapping it probably. What do mean privileged like me? You don't know me so don't pretend you do. You have no idea of my up bring but I can tell you for sure it wasn't privileged in any way! :speak to the hand

Renationalising utilities in particular RM is pointless but you like so many other deluded RM workers seem to think it's the golden goose that will make everything right again... it won't. Working for RM was crap before privitisation. Absorption, lots of other crap thrown our way was down to competition not privitisation and happened way before it. Wake up and smell the coffee, working for RM will not improve through renationalisation you are living in la la land!

More police like more money for the NHS I agree would be a good use of money and again if these were their only spending plans I may give them a chance myself (ok probably not but the chance would go up). But Corbyn thinks he can pull all these things out of a hat. He is a fantasist. They came up with a manifesto to buy voters. Throwing money away he hopes to attract nurses, students, police, tenant, first time buyers the list goes on. He is trying to be Father Christmas and in trying to achieve everything he would end up destroying the economy. Vote for the water walker if you are that deluded. I pray they do not get in. Should they bankrupt the country you wouldn't have to worry about nurses or police there would be no money to pay for either! :cuppa

Don't forget ,the reason the pension fund is up the creek, without a paddle is because that idiot Gordon Brown, taxed the dividends of the pension funds,(admittedly started by Norman Lamont, but as usual taken to another level by Labour fuel duty escalator, anyone). Like someone once said, the trouble with socialists always run out of everybody else's money.

Judgee, it is obvious you live in the land of Charles Darwin, survival of the fittest.
In a humane society, we look to a government to provide services that everyone can benefit from, provide an infrastructure of services that enable our children to be educated in order that they can eventually subscribe to the national budget. Provide affordable or rental housing in order that no one is left without shelter. Provide subsidised transport links in order that people can move around the country to carry out work, leisure or family commitments without having to break the bank to pay for it. Provide a national health service that is fit for purpose and to make sure that the workforce are fairly paid. Provide Water, Power and Sewage facilities. Make sure that ALL people make a reasonable contribution according to their circumstances to a national budget which sets out the costs on an annual basis of running all national services and industries. We cannot carry on with a system that punishes the weak, and benefits the rich or else we are no different to the animals.
Corbyns plans are bold and adventurous and will take a lot of resourcing but the idea of a race to the bottom with another five years of austerity, no plans for the future and no idea what the outcome of Brexit will bring us is a far more frightening scenario.
