Actually I though Ward did well at the start of the IA - it seemed that when Billy took over it all started to fall apart. Also I have been hearing good things about Bob Gibson. How about Dave Warren. Perhaps a woman in charge would be a good move, Karen Rose, Jean Knight, Carol Alcock, or Julia Upton

What position do you hold lovejoy at CWU HQ? 5 years Dave's been in charge and the only real agreement he's done is this one and it's total s**t, it gives our pensions away for an £8 aweek pay rise no matter how you want to cook the figures.

I hold no position at CWU HQ thanks. I love the way you put forward Pullinger as a potential replacement and cite the agreements he's made. Ok Network was a good agreement but that was made after Ward intervened and met Crozier . And take a look at this years pay deal. 2.5% in April and more in Oct. Thats the same 2.5% we rejected in Royal Mail letters oh and by the way wheres the October rise gone????

We now have network drivers faced with 6 day weeks, annualised hours and mass cuts of SA due to RTD agreement.

Dave Ward is the man to lead us in posties my opinion. I would prefer Pullinger as GS because i think what he does have is charisma and would be a good face of union

I wouldn't tout for any of the losers running this last campaign - a good leader knows when to pull his troops and when to attack - quite frankly I'd be surprised if these muppets could find their zip.

2) Most People who would stand a chance of winning where involved anyway. ie Officers, PEC members.

Dave Ward pull strings with Crozier well that would be a first, he couldn’t do anything with this deal could he!!! Network drivers don't face 6 day weeks, annualised hours and mass cuts of SA due to RTD agreement they face these changes because RM won't adhere to the full terms of the agreement and we are having the changes imposed on us something again not addressed by Dave and by the way he has already agreed like or not to annualised hours across RM. Parcleforces pay deal was not 2.5% it was 3.5% (actual PF postmans basic figures per month £1,304. 50 before the rise after £1,350.20 this rise also flowed through to allowances and overtime) with more to come in October (talks now taking place) this agreement was achieved against the back drop of the RM dispute on pay and the Royal Mail Boards hard stance on pay. Quadrant received a two year deal with 4.5% pay rise this year (inner and outer London 4.9%) and 3% or inflation if higher next year, that achieved against the back drop of dropping profits and use by the membership. Network drivers got an £85+ pay rise this year and even the T&G looked on in admiration at the deal and you think it he would be a good General Secretary what a waste of the best negotiator.

On top of all the changes we are going to take without proper reward, the RM agreement despite what we are told from HQ is dependent on us accepting the changes RM want to our pensions and that is the jewel in the crown for them not the flexible working, not the low pay rises over the next two years not the use of new technology but our pensions.

If there is any reason to vote against this agreement that is the one Dave has been mugged during the talks and now we are about to be too, of course we could vote yes for the deal (because we won’t deliver the members on more strike action) and no to the changes on pensions and then of course take strike action to defend our pensions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
