you just need to use the bike more often and cut out crisps, cake, sugar drinks, potatoes, bread, sweets, beer and eat more meat / fish and fruits. Eventually the weight will drop.

drinking a lot of water helps keep you from feeling hungry.
also, eat complex carbs while on your walk, like grains, oats, nuts etc. i sometimes buy belvita biscuits which don't have many calories but they do keep you from feeling hungry for longer.
another thing - if i eat anything before work, then i'm already hungry again by about 9am. i skip breakfast almost every day, which means i don't need to eat until about 11-12, so that's an easy way to cut out a meal.

no offense but thats not exactly healthy. with regards to the skipping breakfast. People might think that it's not really a required meal for the day but in all honesty it's one of the most important. Considering your body has just gone without fuel since the meal the evening before...Your body overnight has been fasting... so you have breakfast to break that fast :p. Breakfast restores glucose levels, an essential carbohydrate that is needed for the brain to function properly, also can improve your concentration, memory improve mood and lower stress levels. List goes on.
If you struggle with feeling hungry before you feel you need to have another meal then just throw a banana down your face hole, maybe some nuts too. Can't really go wrong then.
But each to their own, not jumping on you or anything people can do as they please for all I care, and your recommendation of complex carbs is a good one... but yeah. Small healthy meals all throughout the day including fruit, vegs, nuts will pay dividends and your body will be like... omg thank you so much.

My friend said the ONLY way to lose weight is to eat less which in theory is correct but im so damned bloody starving after a 4hr walk I was wondering if an hour or two at the gym would help in addition to what I walk on a morning. Does anyone else do the gym after work? I spoke to a gym instructor last year that told me because my body was used to walking everyday I wont lose weight and that the gym was the way to go. In all fairness not all posties are slim.
Thoughts?
Hi. If you live near a MC have a look to see if it has a gym only £2.00 per week.
