We have a couple of rurals which have a shorter duty span on a Saturday (an hour less) and thus impossible to complete in time. The DIM's answer to this is to instruct the holders to stream their mail. This has been happening for a couple of years.

We have been told a while now to stream packets but this week our office [Manchester area] has been told to stream mail, but still lapse :crazy:
Apparently our sector is losing money re overtime. Oh and we are still supposed to try every house in the street or safe place tracked items. No chance.

Wilful delay is the long and short of it. Why would you leave yourself open to it? If the office got a surprise audit and they found packets and other mail lying around after you went out who do you think will take the wrap?

Yep, never seen the place looking so tidy in the run-up to our last one. I think maybe by some miracle even all the D2Ds may have actually got delivered by the end of Saturday the week before (or maybe more likely someone just went around yanking all the odd leftover ones out of any frames!) Surprise audit, hilarious concept.
