Bite the bullet (it will be hard) and just ignore the temptation to contact from now on. The time you put between the texts and now will increase and they will lose importance for you both.

Re: Ex girlfriend reporting harrasment texts
Forget any barrack-room lawyering you read on here. In practical terms it's unlikely you'd even get spoken to, and if you did it would end there if you assured Police that you had no intention of contacting again. The next step if repeated (and you wouldn't be dumb enough anyway) would be a caution which is a non-reportable matter which can stay private.

Do not worry. I was in a similar situation a couple of years back. Keeping it vague as possible. I had an issue with an individual. Police involved. Individual wanted RM to know. Police said nothing to do with RM.

She's pulling your chain. Probably doesn't want to put up with your harassment and is trying to knock it on the head early. Leave her alone and I am sure it will all be fine. It's time to man up and move on for both your sakes!

The problem with that is,is that you are responsible for what is on your phone. Easier to just stop and stay sober. Not worth the grief.Hitcher wrote:They can't prove you actually sent them so say a mate did it.

Re: Ex girlfriend reporting harrasment texts
If all that happened were a few texts and there haven't been anymore then at worst you'll probably get a Prevention of Harassment letter which basically warns you that what you've done could result in charges if you do it again. You don't need to be arrested for them to give you this and it doesn't really have much legal status. An internal police thing unless it goes further. There's a lot of information about them online. But there's no need to tell Royal Mail about it.
For it to go further than that there needs to be more than one event. The timing between texts may be difference between a one off event and multiple events.

Its nothing to do with work so don't worry.
But seriously stop texting her. If its over its over deal with it. Your texts may not seem threatening/worrying to you but to her they may.

Just say NO ....to the new agreement.

Am not sure that I would be posting about someone taking coke. And that person may be identifiable.postiewhite wrote:Thanks guys. Mind you , I could be wrong and that might be an age thing.

We had a guy in our office a few years ago who didn't tell anyone he was banned for drink driving, he carried on driving for RM for ages before he eventually got caught out.zx135 wrote:postiewhite wrote:I dont think it would. We work in a proscribed occupation which means if you are convicted (or depending on offence even just charged) of an offence the police will inform rm of the conviction or charge
So in event of police becoming involved and a charge looking likely tell your dom as it's better coming from you earlier than the police later as it may look like you were hiding the matter

Smart advice from someone who doesn't have to face the consequences.
Whatever this guy says, do the opposite and you won't go far wrong.

Re: Ex girlfriend reporting harrasment texts
Part of the Personal Delaration we all sign when we start with Royal Mail.
If you don't inform them and they find out then you've breached your contract no matter what the outcome of the criminal charge is and they will piss themselves laughing as they point at the door.
If you've been charged with anything and you inform them you might lose your job but it would be difficult for them, especially if you're found not guilty or the charges are dropped.CRIMINAL OFFENCES
If you are charged with any criminal offence whilst employed or engaged by Royal Mail Group, you must immediately inform your supervisor of the details. Where a person
engaged in Royal Mail business is involved in a criminal offence, the police have discretion to notify Royal Mail of convictions and may provide other relevant information.
