Fact - that's bollocks.
In fact you can even be off sick if you are sick in the middle of your holidays as long as you provide the relevant certificate. Annual leave is supposed to be just that, It shouldn't be used to recover from injury or illness whether here or abroad. Any manager encouraging or pressuring staff into using annual leave instead of paid sick absence is a w****r and should be disciplined by the business.

Spoke to area rep and im due holidays back,

The FACT of the matter is if im due these holidays back i want them even if iv already been away, After the 6 months of greaf iv had off managment i want everything im owed, they've been funny F#@$ers with me im gonna be funny F#@$ers with them. simples

iv never signed off sick, so don't matter where i was in the world i was still off sick and followed the royal mail guide lines on sickness therefore im due 2 weeks and 1 days leave back,

its comments like this from managers like you who obviously dont have a clue about the actual legal standpoint on matters like this that causes half the problems people have getting their statutory rights

i would have thought that someone like you who has said they have been a manager for 23 years would have a little bit of knowledge about employment law or is it just a case you are not interested in doing your job properly?
