Finished mine today too and still have about a quarter left for one of the two lots, which is what normally happens. Seems like the thinner D2Ds like pizza leaflets we get the most spare, so they probably get weighed out rather than counted.wannabeek wrote:Well I had spare time at the end of the duty today so I chucked in the whole rest of the week's D2Ds at the end of the day (worked the day off on it today so no danger of a day off cover having pratted about with them!).
There were 3 this week and sure enough, 1 of them was bang on exact correct, another was a dozen under, and the third was more than 30 too many (big heavy bulk mags, same size as those Sun newspapers we did last year, so any 'by the weight' count would have been pretty accurate I imagine).
Just shows that they don't count them with any real accuracy here.

Re: EXCESS DOOR TO DOORS
At a team.briefing our Dom sent a couple of us downstairs to pick any bundles of d2d we wanted. These were then counted and compared to the figure on the label. The counts were very accurate.
Slider tool. Lol.

Re: EXCESS DOOR TO DOORS
Short answer is no. Dom is in breach of contract and in fact dumping ( deliberately misdelivering ) D2Ds on another duty a dismissible offense...but only for Posties it would seem.swintontillidie wrote:At my office any left over door to doors are recycled into the flex works. This means that in some cases some walks receive the same door to door item twice! Presumably this is to prevent questions being asked about the amount being returned? it certainly can't be right though can it?
Another related Q about excess D2Ds. My control sheet specifies that the D2Ds are " RESIDENTIAL" A+ guy could not fit all the business names on my duty so just gave the address numbers. This results in 100 + excess D2d that the Dom says we must deliver to the business addresses. No other duty has to do this, I say Dom has to adjust the count, Dom thinks differently. Had many run ins over D2D with Dom before and won... Am I right to insist on the adjustment in this case ? Our driver only has three residential addresses on his duty and only gets 3 D2Ds. If I have to deliver firms should he not have to ?
