In response to "Not a lot of awareness in the posts above about the position the union's in. Having messed up the notification and had this week's action ruled illegal, Ward and Hayes have effectively flushed four days of members pay down the toilet. To resume the action early next week means starting from square one - for the third time given Ward's masterstroke a month or so ago. I don't think the members are up for this nationwide - so further action risks splitting the union along geographical lines. So Ward and Hayes have essentially run out of cards and the best they can hope for is to salvage something from the mess they've made of the campaign. Whether they have done so or not we wont know until we see the deal - but the list of things people are asking for above looks to me completely unrealistic given where were at now."
Well those are points worth thinking about and beginning to answer.
On the court action tho' when it gets desperate for the Royal Mail they're bound to try to pull some trick such as this. What are people going to do just take it?
I acknowledge it's not all simple just go out and organise the action- some places it may be like that, some other places people might not be able to hold the line so easily. But that's why:
1) A national reps meeeting is needed
2) Full discussion locally
3) A network of activists up and down the country to work out what can be pulled off and how areas prepared to take more militant action CAN be supported
