TBH zx135 I don't think RM are in the market to increase hours on delivery anytime soon, if ever. Increasing hours means increased costs and RM are looking for savings.zx135 wrote:then i think we could get another postie made full time, but we have a few guys who are only thinking about number one at the moment

Re: Trying the neighbours
I still want to know why delivery to a neighbour is seen as acceptable practise by RM
The sender (who is the customer we are serving) is NOT sending to a neighbour, he is sending to a specific address, if no one is at this address we shouldnt be taking it to someone else. END OF.

Re: Trying the neighbours
Well according to Moya this is what 94% of customers want, it does remain a mystery to me though where she obtained that figure. None of my family/relatives/neighbours folks in the boozer have filled in any survey/questionnaire asking to whether they wish to have packets delivered to neighbour & vice versa, ulterior motives spring to mindPostie45 wrote:I still want to know why delivery to a neighbour is seen as acceptable practise by RM

^^ No and it won't work in December at all due to daily volume - However be prepared for some serious Dom hassle in December when DTN will become really important for RM - and they will use the agreement that has all been signed in including the ones where the union doesn't seem really give much importance too, to force this onto the workforce. - It will be a case by then that they will argue that for the last 6 months it's be done/in place and now instigated part of the delivery process. Conduct code threats anyone... Watch this space.

She gets that figure from the amount of 'do not leave with neighbour' stickers that's been ordered. Don't forget to remind your customers they can request a sticker from the Royal Mail website…jack wrote:Well according to Moya this is what 94% of customers want, it does remain a mystery to me though where she obtained that figure.
