Has ANY of the new uniform made an improvement over the items it replaced? I know some of my colleagues, who are unable to use an iron, love the polo shirts.....IMO I think they look scruffy. However as most of the same people also seem unable to operate a bar of soap or a razor it's no wonder they like them!

I say bring back the Harrington Jackets ....A very functional piece of kit with plenty of pockets. The point raised about socks is very valid......I go through expensive hiking socks very quickly..... But I doubt if we'd get a decent brand........probably go along the same lines as the Footwear.

Total waste of time if you're left handed with a pile of mail in your right hand when you need to get at the pen, likewise the pocket that's on the right leg as well....

It's not even mist proof, and if you put it on over the fleece you sweat like something very sweaty indeed because remarkably the jacket was designed to let water in but not out again.

If you take the fleece off and just go with the cagoule you die of hypothermia within 5 minutes.

Why not wear a t-shirt under your shirt then, that should stave off your "hypothermia"?

So this style would definitely be of no use for your little *cough* "problem". Or your heart for that matter?
Then again, this is unsafe. From a Health and Safety point of view that is, of course.
