you delivery lads have no idea how lucky you are, try working in processing inside a soulless building with no windows or natural light for between 8 and 12 hours a day, and the buildings are that big nowadays that you have to walk 3 or 4 miles a day. One lad had a pedometer on him as he was portering one night and walked 8 miles pushing heavy yorks. :cry

We do it because it pays our mortgage, decent wages, 6 weeks holiday, a pension. and more. You would have no chance to get that if you worked for TNT, DHL, Asda etc

and its obvious at least one MC worker is falling for the grass is always greener.

8 Miles in one night :left: Try 9 to 12 miles EVERY day - carrying a bag starting at 16kg or 11kg, and doing it for 3.5 hours straight, and thats the easy Non P&L deliveries.

I'll admit I wouldn't be happy working in a MC but that's not because the job physically hard, or that the environment is depressing (been there and done that) , but because its mind numbingly boring.

And of course they never get wet unless they're too far away from a bog in a huge soulless building without windows :whistle

We all hate our jobs but spare a thought for those guys pushing a giant hoover around a city centre on a saturday afternoon, those bus drivers at 3 o'clock / 11 o'clock or those dustbin men on 0 hour contracts.
But all I ask is why is it fair that our linos and trolley pushers get paid !
Why are lino's paid full-time ??
