What can you expect from the TCM Model Resolution Policy:
It combines your grievance, bullying and harassment policies into a single Resolution Policy.
It links dispute resolution with your values and vision.
It offers a new name and a new focus for dispute resolution.
It takes the grief out of grievances.
It reduces the amount of time HR spend on grievance and bullying case management.
There is a significant emphasis on mediation and early resolution. Mediation is effective in up to 90% of cases. It becomes even more effective the earlier it is offered.
It will help your organisation to transition from a 'grievance culture' to a 'resolution culture'.
It includes a comprehensive dispute triarage process which HR and ER professionals can use to assess the most suitable route to resolution.
It is compliant with the Acas disciplinary and grievance code of practice.
In more serious disputes and in cases where there is a clear breach of your code of conduct, it offers opportunities to escalate to an investigation or other formal action.
There is an opportunity to offer mediation at each stage, even where the case is escalated to formal action. It offres greater flexibility to all parties.
It supports return to work procedures following absence or suspension

triarage This appears to either be a spelling mistake or a completely made up word.
It is also a right load of bollocks  .
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

It’s a sorry state of affairs when you need to call in outside help to resolve issues but perhaps RM’s senior management are finally recognising the poor quality of much of their middle management.

A great many of these clowns are merely former posties who have never undergone any formal training, gained any relevant qualifications or learned any people handling skills. They are the cause of many of the difficulties in deliveries today. Second rate appointments have cost this company dear over the years.

Before people are appointed to managerial positions they should undergo a period of formal training and then be assessed as to whether they have the necessary aptitude and skills. It is not acceptable to be allowed to grow into the job or develop over time. If you are going to manage you need to be competent from day one.

If TCMs appointment is in anyway recognition of RMs failure in this area, then I welcome it.

i think we need look no further than ATOS for our benchmark on this one.
The government are on the brink of ditching ATOS. Strange that despite the number of complaints about ATOS on here, which is probably only a drop in the ocean, the union don't seem to be very vociferous in decrying the poor quality of diagnoses. So you must assume that TCM would do nothing more than support RMs stance in the same way ATOS does.
today or yesterday i heard something about ATOS trying to come out of their deal early

There is roughly 140,000 Royal Mail staff - wonder if they gave them the wrong files. :hmmmm

If anyone on this board took the time to read the news, then you will know that Atos have ditched the government. Not the other way round.Due to the fact it was bad for their business regarding protests outside their offices. You think this mob will be any different when the fat men from the CWU and their cronies turn the heat up at their sites?

I have read the news and ATOS have been under scrutiny for some months it isn't at all cut and dried who is the instigator of the split. Prior to ATOS announcement the government was already looking to bring in another operator. So I read the news with an open mind and judge the content on probability.
