Re: why would you vote yes
I will be voteing yes 3% back dated to 1/4/13 then in 4/6 weeks another 3% that will put around £22+ into your pay, T&Cs protected untill 2019. If it a no vote you will get nothing and all the problems will still be there and just get worse.

While you are entitled to your opinion peddling the myth that it's this deal or nothing is neither true nor fair.oldrope wrote:If it a no vote you will get nothing and all the problems will still be there and just get worse.
There was an offer on the table before the negotiations and never in my experience has there been major change without some form of agreement. It is not an act of charity on behalf of the employer or something that has been torn from them by force. Common sense tells you that the reason there is an agreement there in the first place is that it's in the interest of both parties to have one so although I think it's highly likely the members will agree to accept this deal if they don't they won't get "nothing".
As for it making the problems worse that's just guesswork, you could argue that refocusing attention on some actual solutions rather than pointless reviews could just as likely resolve some of the problems....but as I said that's purely fortune telling.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
