Re: "We love parcels"
At least customers want the parcels. They always appear happy to receive them. Unlike the handful of shite we shove through their letter box each week. Nothing worse than a customer saying "more rubbish?" After you have slogged your way to get to their house.

Re: "We love parcels"
Last year we had 8 hire vans and a night shift, this year no night shift and 5 hire vans,we have just started to leave packets on most of the shared van duties,it's going to be a cluster f*ck this year. Also we have 4 long term sick and 3 or 4 on light duties.clashcityrocker wrote:With nobody on annual leave for the Xmas pressure, don't the spare bodies do extra packet duties?Timelord wrote:I have the same problem on van share, don't know how it will all fit in at Christmas......well, it won't !DB1100 wrote:and according to the DOM is not busy yet.
Normally extra vans are hired to handle the increase in packet traffic.

Re: "We love parcels"
According to myroyalmail, in Wales we don't get any parcels

Did you know that Royal Mail's operation in Wales includes responsibility for most of Shropshire, Chester and the Wirral? We deliver on average 19 million letters and 1.2 million packets every week in Wales.
