Perhaps what they should say is become a woman, their "equipment" is designed to take a pounding and keep coming back, it also designed to carry a 8 pound passenger not sure my testicles could do that.

My point is that the 300 they think they will get is making some think about going in :mad and reading in previous posts our office is not alone.

Won,t bother me one way or tother as I shall be standing at the gate with comrades with moral fibre.
One no agreement so far so if/when we strike they go in they will not get paid £300 at Christmas will they royal mail never have gave loyalty bonuses have they and you would be lucky to get paid overtime never mind £300 in an agreement that was not agreed! So I say don't go in find other work outside your working hours lot's of cheep minimum wage job's out their just get use to it if we lose this you would be doing them anyway royal mail will not pay you above minimum wage in two and a half years!.

Vote YES to the strike. If there's enough of a YES vote you may not have to make this choice as RM will see the strength of feeling and return to negotiations with less of a Bloody Minded attitude! I'm not holding my breath though, there's enough short-sighted selfless idiots working in this company to cause an upset. :arrrghhh

In the interest of fair reporting and balanced answers...

Those who want to work can let their manager know and the said manager would arrange for said strike breaker/s to work at another office.

In the interest of the PMSL thing.(See,i'm down with the kids)

:funneh 2 peeps at my place did this, around half an hr on the picket line one of my guys gets a phone call from another office miles away informing him that 2 breakers from our office had just arrived in civvies posing as screws to work.

Their faces were a picture the next day when we told them we'd found them out. :left:

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

At the Gates or Stay in bed

Post by post_bitch »

Will you

a) scab , go to another office or sneak in to work u want that dam 300 quid.

b) go down and cause as much hassle at the gates with a sign talking to press , shouting and signing, snarling at strike breakers etc. Preparing the fire in the metal bins , preparing the sandwichs and tea .

b) go down to gates and casually hang around to see what is going on but not really causing to much mayhem , but there never the less. ( a bit worried what your manager will think of you standing around with the trouble makers)

c) stay in bed and watch it all unfold on bbc news. Call a few people.

d) Get drunk down the pub

e) Go on holiday

f) Want to scab but are scared of the backlash at the gates. And go down to see if the coast is clear. and if its not , join the mob at the gates.
