It's wrong they don't send you rail tickets to travel to these events as they want you there..

Our branch won't even pay petrol expenses anymore unless you have business insurance, so more expenses that never gets reimbursed.

You should take some of your own advice.
I haven't had an honorarium payment ever.
That would be the full release bods not the local reps.
If they split the honorarium payment up between all of the local reps and Officers in my branch we would get about £8.50 each.

You could follow your own advice - see my previous post.

Branches decide who get the payment and not all reps get it, in fact the number of local unit reps getting it is probably quite low. Certainly AFAIK in my branch they don't get it.

Glasgow unit reps get £25 "expenses" for each of the 4 yearly meetings (some of this money comes from the education fund) and £50 xmas honorarium.

Don't mean to be a party pooper....but

My Ex was an Area Rep, he was bought a lap top, by the Union, could get any amount of stationery/stamps, ink cartridges, fuel expenses, parking expenses and also lump sum around Xmas...which was split between other Reps too.Also paid release for courses and conferences, with food/beverage allowances too.

I understood it when I asked him, that these things are provided to enable him to do his Union work, for us Members.
