Perhaps because his son is an adult and is therefore both old enough and ugly enough to do it himself. Even then if that's the reason for refusal then payment of the outstanding amount will have very little effect on the situation that he is presented with.

Its got nothing atall to do with his Father,He was over 18 when he would have borrowed the money,If they both banked with Barclays and his son defaulted with them would Barclays close all his fathers accounts? NO,So Commsave need to get in the real world and stop punishing a related adult for another Adults mistake,What a joke that is.
if the original poster had said "HE has obviously let me down or "I feel HE has tarnished my good name or "I have told him to pay it back", i for one would be a tad more sympathetic,but this "handwashing -its not my doing-why me-i didnt do it- kind of attitude does my head in.we dont know the full facts other than money was borrowed and not paid back thus impacting on his fathers chances of wanting a loan..he has been declined...banks today DONT borrow like they did!!!!! i wonder why????good people cant get loans..WHY???...because people borrowed and didnt pay back.thats the reality of such actions.its harsh but.........kinda true..i hope he gets something sorted,he is probably a nice fella
