Just checked Royal Mail policy and its week 29 for when you can go on maternity pay with Royal Mail all firms are different as her firm it's week 26. Remember you must tell your manager not your rep but you can keep this quite until you get your mat1 form. My wife waited till week 16 till telling her boss. Also you get 2 weeks paternity too.
