Not always the p/timers fault,if you get a lazy full timer who is supposed to prep your round in but instead spends their time talking and supping tea,so when you come in you have ton's to do,it's the part timer that get's the blame for being slow not the full timer.slave wrote:Quality, is that why we need people to work their day off on overtime, efficient and staffing are two things that most certainly do not go together in my office!fishtank wrote: reduction of mail volumes usually between the middle of May and the middle of August(12 weeks).
This is what should enable extra leave in the summer.
• Efficient Summer staffing – each unit will utilise the opportunity offered by reduced traffic volumes to re-arrange responsibilities during the summer period. This will offer employees additional opportunities for leave during the same period.![]()
As per above; start at your contracted hours (part-timers, see below), have your meal relief, use the equipment supplied to specification, van checks (if you have them). Unless you have a s**t revision where crap figures were used so some walks are overly long and some stupidly short then you probably wont have time to lapse. If you do go over, for gods sake book it, make them learn we are not robots.
Part-timers; always eager to please, always eager to screw up the system. The number of part-timers that come in early is staggering, possibly eager to please el-bossio in the vain hope they will get a full-time position?? In my office if part-timers came in on time then those paired duties would not lapse/absorb and quite possibly book overtime - says a lot. A s**t system deliberately created by management to try and force people to work outside of their contracted hours for nothing........

Yep, agree...When u get in the "Prepped" frame is only 3/4 done and the packets all over the shop. As well as Redirections left...but, in their defence, they also have their own frames/rounds to set up/take down.
