Strikes will only be called off if there is a deal that the PEC can put to members.
The PEC voted unamiously for this.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Just been told at the pre-strike union meeting that the PEC have been told in no uncertain terms that they are not to call off strikes unless there is an agreed offer on the table. No more of the strings being manipulated by AC AL to get what he wants. However, apparently they are hopeful of a deal by Thursday. They union guys who said this were not hopeful though.

We had our WTL this morning when it was stated that the later start times would begin next week - when we asked the details - we were told that there hadn't been time to iron them out!

In fairness the guy looked as though he was harassed and didn't really agree with the plans but had no option but to go long with it.

Our start times are being bumped up 1 and a half hours - 0500 to 0630.
