it wouldnt its just a standard letter as royal mail have told them to defend the ET which you have initiated nothing sinister in this in itself,

if you have any conspiracy theories about your appeal being pre judged thats a different matter entirely, this letter is soley due to the fact you have sent in a ET1

Cheers zx, no I have no conspiracy theories, just find it hard to trust rm and its management. Was just throwing it out there to see if its normal practice. You reckon it is that's good enough for me. Do Weightmans often put back the date of the ET or are they not allowed to do that? The date is set early next year.

Absolutely start reading up on this.

The result of the appeal has not been decided in my opinion.
The fact you have started an ET claim may help your appeal because it will show the appeal manager you are sincere in trying to save your job.
You really need a good reason for the appeal and you need a good argument at your ET.
Royal mail attend ET's all the time, it is something the company is used to and prepared for and they have no problem defending themselves at an ET.
I don't know the ins and outs of your case but maybe you should give us some more details without naming names and without dropping yourself in trouble.

Anything else they'll be needing? Currently still waiting appeal decision and therefore haven't seemed legal representation yet. Union hold most of my documents waiting to send to their solicitors if appeal fails. Tribunal is ten weeks from now am I leaving it too late to seek legal help?

if not get them onto it pronto.
explain that you may be short of time to get other help if they refuse.

i left mine very late after the union took their time.
got refused by them and didnt have enough time to find a no win no fee.

saying that the local union helped me out ....giving their oppinion etc and were very helpfull in guiding me to represent myself.

Appeal rejected on the basis I SHOULD have known better and on the belief (without any evidence) that I had done it before and had been warned about it.

Helping me what? Not so far but I have to send my documents to their solicitors at the end of this week. Loads of documents need sending to Weightmans but union have most of em. They were supposed to be in by now but rm dragged out appeal until today. Got to meet with branch secretary on Thursday and we'll see what I can do at that point. Can't get any legal advice from solicitors either until im union solicitors decide whether they're gonna take the case on

lets hope they look at it quickly.

with mine they dragged it out and then said i had less than a 50% chance.

but i had very little time and a lot of paperwork to find a no win no fee.

i think the large amount of paperwork put em off and they refused a week after the second date set.
the date was moved again anyway.

Ok I will look into getting something sorted quickly if union solicitors is a no go. Probably look to immediately get the date of tribunal put back.

yes.

was too late in getting no win no fee so did it myself.

luckily i got my brain in gear shortly before the date and managed to get a report that had been witheld.

made a massive difference and made someone look like a real wrongun.
