He thinks the guy is off a round fairly near to the one he does (which explains them being on the same stretch of road). So if he wins the battle he's anxious a war looms. And who wants that.

I first thought this was all about road rage . So now it seems like he is a postie in his own car.

No, works van. And it's got really, really funny and for once I applaud the managers of Royal Mail. It seems the fella made his accusations whilst in a seriously bad mood, and I guess we've all been in one of them and said or done something stupid. He accused the postman (among other things like a violent streak) of a reckless / dangerous motoring act (not entirely sure what you're capable of while being hedged in, apart from not letting a queue jumper jump the queue and leaving him stranded) so the manager called his bluff. He said it seemed to have escalated from being a minor dispute with a RM employee to one that necessitated the intervention of the police. He rightly pointed out that that stretch of carriageway has a good coverage of CCTV cameras. So obviously it wouldn't be a problem, indeed it would be an obligation, to have this postman brought to account if he's put other road users in jeopardy.

Cue backtracking. The complainant now thinks the situation is getting out of hand and he just wants the employee reprimanded. Yeah right, in the trade we call it filling your nappy. But the manager persisted (and he's had a right laugh with the postie involved and said he enjoyed seeing the complainant squirm) and said that basically, because of the nature of the accusations, it's imperative they get to the bottom of it. The postman has been accused of threatening and potentially dangerous behaviour and all efforts must be made to get to the truth of the matter.

Laughing my arse off while writing this, well funny. The guy is made of tissue paper, no backbone, no follow through, not even any commonsense. HE ADMITS HE'S BANNED Come on, you just wouldn't would you. What's the purpose. You've just handed the guy you're talking to a deck containing four aces and three kings. 12 points, MINIMUM, for being a total prick on the highway and you accuse a guy of anti-social driving and a bad attitude.

Like I say, well funny. All is well that ends well and the RM fella gets to keep his round and his reputation.

I would like to say very grateful thanks to those who offered positive advice on this thread. The guy involved didn't expect things to be sorted out so quickly and neither did I. So the messages and advice were obviously greatly appreciated. A big up to those who took the time to give input
