now can someone from the CWU hierarchy tell my why that roaster Billy Hayes the head of the CWU was lavishing praise on Gordon Brown and the labour party this week during their conference saying that Royal Mail is only safe under a Labour goverment, this was the same party that said before they won the election in 1997 that Royal mail would be safe under a labour goverment .... what was one of the first things the Labour goverment did when it got in power ... it set up the watchdog Postcomm which has put the boot into Royal Mail since day 1 and the same postcomm that has played a massive role in the current state of affairs now facing us and Royal Mail .... by helping larger foriegn mail companies than Royal Mail ie TNT and Deutsche Post by not having a level playing field where we cannot compete .... aye Royal Mail is safe in Labour hands indeed
