Re: Managers Bonus
Disagree not on the harsh part as its quite clearly condescending, patronising and straight out of the RM Managers handbook on how to demotivate people. However, its also too black and white. There is no single job, anywhere in any line of work that everyone, or even anyone, is 100% happy about. There is always something about any job that people will complain about even the best ones. I bet Moya moans about not being able to go back to Canada as much as she might want and she is on mega money.fng wrote:harsh but truegsp wrote:If you are not happy with your job nobody is holding a gun to your head. Also the approach of "leave if you don't like it" is selfish and short sighted. Everyone who leaves because the treatment of staff is so bad just makes it easier for management not to make the changes to make RM a great place to work (moya's words not mine) and lets bad managers get away with it.
I am not condemning those who feel they have to leave, or those that have left and got a better job, in fact I wish them luck. But what is wrong is when managers use the phrase "Well if you don't like it leave" to impose changes, or to bully colleagues and staff - that does need challenging and eventually the Union and Moya may get around to doing so instead of merely sending messages about it.

Re: Managers Bonus
I must admit I haven't read the whole thread but at a guess how many managers do you think Royal mail has employed at this time?
Just a guess and then maybe we can work out the total bill for managers bonus's to the whole business.
