We send our vans to be repaired, serviced but come back with nothing done, what do the workshop do? We try to maintain them as best as we can, but we are not trained to the standard as some. They are not fit for purpose, not big enough, but we have to do our best :Very Happy The tyres are c--p only last one month if you are lucky, RM are supposed to be big on H&S they can't even supply those!

My tyres last for ages now, it's only when collections take my van that they seem to go down, I drive like I'm driving Miss Daisy but they drive like they're F1 drivers.................I know I'm much more relaxed, which is nice :Very Happy

What is it with the workshop guys as well, the most miserable baskets i've ever come across, round my way anyway.
Do they want the work or not!
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

However crap the current vans are, they are a big improvement on what we used to have, at least at my office (going back a few years mind),
anyone here have experience driving Leyland DAF vans (only good thing about them was quite a few had a sliding driver/passenger door),
my god they were shite ! Ford Transits were luxury compared.
