I always showed a keen interest in NUM matters back in the late 80's early 90's attending various meetings and rallies etc, and even got to meet Arthur Scargill, i was never a rep though.Midge wrote:Sorry to hear you don't feel represented. Were you ever a rep in the NUM? Maybe you could be a rep in the CWU?

Me and a former colleague did discuss the possibility of taking on the role of rep/sub rep in my previous office but we came to the conclusion it would be pointless - which was proved right when nearly half the office worked the last strike!
