I've got sympathy with guy, don't deliver to some old codger but we'll send you out in red alert wind levels, 10 inch of snow. And we expect you not to have an issues.
Maybe the guys stones are a joke. But so is Royal Mail.

Yes guv, I made an on site risk assessment and thought it look hazardous.

Last year during the bad snow I self assessed addresses on my duty and did not deliver, endorsed the mail "Snow and Ice Hazard" and delivered when next able. Never had any come back from Royal Mail or the customers.

That is nothing compared to some of the houses I deliver to, even when it snowed last winter and I made a point about mentioning a lethally slippy driveway I was just told to "take it easy and be careful" - I did of course self endorse on numerous occasions as it was a f***ing joke triyng to deliver!
