I thought we could revert back to smaller bags,i know there is a 5kg thing out there(stairs ect) but i thought it mentioned snow as well.
To be fair to RM there has to be a contingency plan to deal with snow when LWT's are unusable.
It will be lightweight bags as it should have been before when there was snow.
Of course it depends how much snow as to what the call is...too much and it becomes dangerous anyway.
One of the biggest problems we had last year was finding somewhere to park the van,if all you have is a single clear track you can't ask the traffic to stop for 40 mins while you do a bit.
The policy outlines fresh advice on driving in adverse weather as well as advice on the use of cycles, high capacity trolleys and lightweight trolleys. Before going out on delivery it will be assessed as to whether it is safe to use bicycles, HCT’s and LWT’s and where it is not, alternative arrangements must be made.

I'm sure there was something else,it's in one of the 2010 related downloads we've got, will maybe try to find it when i've got time, might of been about 8kg bags.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Imagine how long it would take with smaller bags and icey under foot.
