Back on topic, TBT.
Ken's flogging a dead horse here. Even if he can persuade CWU members to register, what chance does he have of getting them to vote?
Most of us can't be arsed to vote in work ballots, never mind the London Mayoral Election.

Re: Ken Livingstone urges CWU members to register to vote
I think the difference in this election is that the result will be an indicator on what will happen nationally. Things are going to get tougher for everyone , unemployment espeically youth unemployment worse and inflation worse.
I don't have much love for the labour party over missed opportunities and the failure to deal with Royal Mail in the right way. However there is massive differences between Livingsone and Johnson in particular on the following issues.
Fares, London has the highest transport costs of any capital city in Europe, Boris has agreed that fares will rise by 2% above inflation for the next 20 years. Johnson will freeze them next year and capped them to inflation thereafter. instreting enough Livingsotne offered Royal Mail an exemption on the congestion charge when it was first introduced providing they paid for postman and women congestion charges who worked in the area it covered. Royal Mail Would have saved thousands but it refused to pass it on.
Police numbers , Crime is on the rise again especially mugging and violent crime. Boris Johnson has stopped covering police vacancies last year 900 police jobs were lost as a result of this. livingstone has pledged to recruit to those jobs.
The other area which is different is that Labour gave the mayor the ability to build up to 5000 council houses per year , Boris Johnson has not built to that level , Livingstone will and will ensured those contractors who get the contracts Have to employ trainee builders.
So this election is different and remember come next may us in Royal Mail may be feeling the pinch a lot more than now.
