Re: Move to Romford MC under MTSF2 rule
on the 19/09/2011 you posted this ........'I take on board that we probably need a comms to up date people on issues and will ensure within the next 2 weeks that members receive a comprehensive update.'
well we are now in november which is by my calculation 5 weeks and yet that statement has not been realised and in fact there has during that time at E.L.M.C been no meetings or information of any kind coming from the union
now do we make the assumption that the reps at E.L.M.C have recieved your instruction and chosen to ignore them or have you not given any instructions based on your original statement ?
again it seems keeping a simple promise is beyond both union and management and yes making assumptions is all i can do as there is no indication in this thread or at our office why the 'comprehensive update' has not happened.
sadly this is no more than we expect now so i see no point in coming back to this thread so its
from me

For the record comphensive comms are underway to update members in all 4 sites on the progress so far and issues still to tackle. There is a full meeting with management tomorrow and Thursday and than there is a London Divisional committee meeting on Friday where we hope to share the final comms with the Branch's and then get it printed and too you . We want to give you a full update covering everything to do with the closure program including an update on numbers etc .

looking at that the final meeting was to take place on the 4/11/2011 so we were wondering what the new timescale is for the comprehensive comms ?

Re: Move to Romford MC under MTSF2 rule
over 3 weeks has passed since my last very politely phrased and civil question and yet there is no response from you mr dingo or from any union representative at our office or in fact from any union representative at all.
well that is not completely true because when confronted by a member about the 30 minutes a week owed to us (which by the way now is upto 6-30 owed us) our leading lady responded with 'there are more important things to sort out right now and top of the list atm is getting the canteen to open up at 7am again'
that sadly is the TOTAL union information recieved at this office and this when on a daily basis we see high ranking east london officials having meetings at our office.
not only that it seems that an acting manager has now been made up to full manager and was heard telling a fellow manager he managed this without even having to go through the proper procedure.
kind of strange to hear that when our office is closing and so much work has left so there technically should be no vacant mangerial positions which means that under this much quoted mtsf2 agreement no new managerial jobs should be created for anyone especially not for one with a record like this one has.
hopefully if the union manages to survive after all this you will all actually represent ther members the way that you actually say you will because hollow promises may be what we get from politicians but we do not expect from the union
HAPPY XMAS

Re: Move to Romford MC under MTSF2 rule
ELMC has become a very strange office recently.
In addition to promoting an acting manager to a manager as mentioned by Letdown, a ‘former manager’ came back to perform overtime on Saturday and Sunday.
But, unfortunately, for the full time staff it has not been all on due to overwhelming number of agency workers.

Re: Move to Romford MC under MTSF2 rule
An early shift colleague was taken aback when the Mail Centre manager told her that she would be moving to her first preference office, which is not Romford, in January 2012.
As there is total lack of trust for the working method of management at ELMC, has the union seen the latest list of who is going where?
