It happens - and there's always the odd snotty bastard customer who thinks it's worth screaming and shouting about. Personally I just apologise and let them blow off a bit of steam. It's all water off a ducks back to me.

Until there's a wrongly addressed or incompletely addressed present/parcel/birthday card or letter for that particular customer - gets endorsed and killed off straight away :evil/mad

Everyone does it. My new walk is a bit awkward, a section of frame runs 139-121, then 139-121 on another road directly after it. One day last week I had no mail at all for the first road, of course I didn't realise or expect that and delivered 3 houses on the wrong street before realising what I was doing. There are also a few roads that end on say 17 and the next house is 17 on another street - what a PITA that is.

My last complaint was about 5 years ago, maybe i'll get one now :chuckle

Walk sequenced mail is adding to the problem
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

Yes it is, and it's even worse when CSS staff throw in some of the sequencing during the night as they just bang it in without paying as much attention as you would on your own walk.

Anything with the wrong postcode ends up in the wrong road, there was one address on my old walk that for some reason got loads of mail with the postcode for another road on the walk, whenever I had a day off they'd have their mail delivered to the other road.

The machines are a bit dodgy at reading numbers that aren't very clear as well.

They do make things quicker and throwing sequenced mail in is definitely better, but they do add to misdeliveries without a doubt.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Daily huddle this morning we were told if we have 5 misdelivery complaints from one property we will get the sack. No idea if there is time scale. I'm sure a lot of the misdelivery complaints are false, customers say we misdeliver even when its the correct address but a previous occupant. So are RM going to make sure these 'misdeliveries' are genuine? Never known a firm like it!

I think they make these rules up as they go along, unless it's national then they would lose any IT taken against them.

Luckily they all had open porch doors,so managed to rectify my funk up.... :whistle
