Someone may have misheard you and assumed they heard a swear word.
I once said to a friend on the school bus "You're out early!" He replied "Yeah I just finished faster." The driver jumped out of his seat and grabbed the boy by the scruff of his neck. He thought he'd heard the words "baldy bast**d".
Ahhhh the misunderstanding - I once had someone asking me what the 'fat content' was of something but that's not what I heard...........I'll let you work out what it was
