The part timers in our office do some IPS but as they start later it is just on the second wave.
You may have missed the major issue of why that there is more part time duties in the buisness that of falling traffic levels (allegedley) and mech sorting meaning less full time people needed on the job.
I'm not missing the point at all. It is because there are less full time posts at our office that the part times are now expected to go onto the IPS. Every time they take hours out of our office they hammer the IPS. We have complained about it for years. We need more full time positions in our office. The IPS is the main bottleneck in our office. The lack of IPS sorters in our office is the reason we don't get out the office early enough to complete our deliveries on time. Walk sequencing has made prep quicker but that has been absorbed by bigger deliveries and more door to doors. Add onto that part timers doing IPS and you have an impossible task of completing your delivery within your allocated hours. It's just a f***ing joke m8.
