I was actually taking the piss with that,so it should be run every day then?The IWT is supposed to run every day, but we haven't really had anybody from within the office to check anything.

Can I presume that the figures for the IWT are just guidelines though as the DOM is taking them very literally and quoting that it is all agreed with the union?
We should be on the IPS this long and you should be able to be tied up by this time etc, etc
I don't mean the daily mail that's coming in as that is being counted by the 'gatekeeper', but the prep rates for letters, flats etc.

The agreed rates should give a throughput roughly 11-13 items per minute as IWT allows time for the the other parts of your prep(clear down,tie up etc).I would also check what figures they are inputting,into the IWT, for d2d,as that can make a big difference.
As for your DOM wanting to stop people cutting of or booking OT,the IWT only measures indoor work.It can't tell you how long your delivery will take, as it can't measure call rate,attendance call rate or any of the other variables that make up the outdoor element of our job.
