I def would try work to rule. Our office could not run without good will and we wouldn't suffer with the public or lose too much money.

Only problem would be getting everyone to stick together. Not sure we could do that.

Work to Rule would be ideal but how long do you think it would last.

You will have to follow the rulebook otherwise someone will get suspended and then what do we do.

Unfortunately I believe RM would force us out one way or another.

We ran a do the job properly at our small under 20 staff office, we achieved it but it was incredibly difficult to get everyone onside.On this occasion the management caved in.

No work to rule means that you start on time / finish on time / only work your hours

"Do nothing" means you carry on as usual, come in early, work through part of your meal relief,stop out late for no extra pay ect.ect. ect.....

Lots of people do this day in / day out within RM

cut off king, i know mate, i was taking the p***.

but like i said earlier it would have very little effect in our DO as RM have refused to pay OT so people are not working it.

very few using cars now too.

Work to rule. Even if it is not followed by 100% of the membership, it would still cause a load of disruption, with minimal loss to us.

it would be the best idea than loseing money and then going back after a strike to days of mail and being bullied into delivering it all ,we once did this in our office , we all turned down o/t and days off they was in s**t street they was begging for people to do it , and the best part when we got back to the office the office was filled with doms and even the area manager getting ready to go out on delivery , it would be even worse now weve got p&l . but i think you need the full support of the cwu to say nobody works passed there time , breaks , cut off and bring it back.

all out or rolling action ..will lead to the CWU at the negottating table once again ..and will more than likely lead to even worse conditions being agreed on ..the CWU would probably emerge from talks clutching the deal of the millenium for rm ...

I'd like to say all out but i just couldn't afford to lose pay.Rolling strikes have little effect since we just do double next day.

I voted work to rule but i wonder how long i could stick it on 24 hours i need that overtime.

You wouldn't need the ot if you worked to rule. Eventually they would inrease your contract. Unless you are full time. If you are you are probably living beyond your means. That is needing overtime to survive.

Relying on ot is skating on very thin ice.

I downsized as my life outside was worthless if I had to beg to Royal Mail each day.
